Dr. Ivette Dubiel BioDr. Ivette M. Dubiel is the CEO for Systemic Educational Equity, LLC, a full-service diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) consulting firm that offers a wide range of supports and services such as Equity Audits, Equity Assessments, Equity Action Plans, leadership coaching, customized DEI mentorship, and professional development/training. Clients have ranged from non-profits (e.g., foundations, charitable organizations) to private corporations (e.g., law firms, medical administrative offices) to public entities (e.g., park districts, libraries, school districts).
Dr. Dubiel currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Diverse Learners for Oswego Community School District 308. For the last six years, she has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Aurora University and Lewis University; wherein, she teaches undergrad, graduate and doctoral students on Diversity and Social Justice, Critical Transformative Leadership, Program Evaluation, Curriculum Development and Evaluation, Assessment for School Improvement, and Problem-Solving for Social Change.
Dr. Dubiel is the co-founder of the Illinois Coalition of Education Equity Leaders. She has served as a member of the Illinois State Board of Education, Diverse and Learner Ready Teacher Network, which developed the Illinois Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards, and was the founding Board president for the Illinois Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents.
Dr. Dubiel has served as the Executive Director of Equity and Professional Learning for the DuPage Regional Office of Education, Director of Educational Equity for Indian Prairie School District 204, and Assistant Director for Oswego 308. She has been a classroom teacher for general education students and sheltered English Language Learners.
Dr. Dubiel earned a doctorate degree from Lewis University in Educational Leadership. She also has three Master’s degrees: Educational Leadership from Aurora University, Teaching with Certificate from Aurora University and a Public Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Dr. Dubiel has been a contributing author to Huffington Post, Latino Voices. Prior to her career in education, she served as an Investigator with the Chicago Police Department, Office of Professional Standards, and with the State of Illinois, Office of Executive Inspector General.
In the most recent years, Dr. Dubiel was selected to be a part of the Community Leadership and Equity Advisory Committee for the U.S. Representative Lauren Underwood of the 14th congressional district. She was named one of the 2022 Honoree as a Latina of Influence for Hispanic Influence.
